Highlights
Lake Manyara National Park:
In 1904 the battle of Waterberg took place here at the mountain preceded by an uprising of the Herero. The Waterberg is a touristic highlight, with more than 90 mammals and 200 bird species.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park is world famous for the annual migration of 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra but in addition to this natural wonder, the park offers an abundance of wildlife and rich biodiversity.
Ngorongoro Crater
The crater is home to a staggering 25,000 (Est) animals. Most of the species of East Africa can be found here, including the “Big Five” – rhinoceros, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo. You can also discover large herds of zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is famous for its high numbers of an iconic safari pairing, elephants and baobab trees. This park is a staple on Tanzania’s northern circuit and for good reason.

Day 1 – Travelling
Day 2 – Arysha
Staying at: Arusha Serena Hotel Resot & Spa.
Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport , where guests are met and transferred to their hotel located a short distance from Arusha City Centre.
Day 3 – Lake Manyara National Park
Staying at: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
Morning at leisure with safari briefing followed by lunch. In the afternoon, join seat in vehicle safari and depart Arusha passing through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni turn North West and continue the journey through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.
Day 4 – Central Serengeti
Staying at: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
After breakfast there is a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park that returns to the lodge for lunch. Leaving Lake Manyara behind, the journey continues North West across the stunning hilly countryside of the highlands which is filled with wheat and coffee plantations, and then into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you begin spotting wildlife as you approach the entrance gate. Complete the formalities and enter the park with game viewing en route to the lodge arriving for dinner.
Day 5 – Central Serengeti

Morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater
Staying at: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
After breakfast you depart for Ngorongoro with a picnic lunch viewing game across the vast Serengeti plains, stopping en route for a picnic lunch. Continue to your lodge, set high on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater arriving for dinner.
Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater

A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World’s largest natural wildlife arena. After breakfast, you descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. A truly unique wildlife experience. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon.
Day 8 – Tarangire National Park
Staying at: Tarangire Sopa Lodge
Depart Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast, head south east past Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu Village. Through the highlands and the Karatu district, you’ll view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations here before journeying down the spectacular escarpment turning south on to the main Arusha–Dodoma road and into the park. From here to the lodge, enjoy a game drive en route. After lunch board your safari vehicle and enjoy an afternoon game viewing within the park.
Day 9 – 14 – Nungwi
Staying at: Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar
Depart after breakfast and head north east to Arusha. The journey will pass through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. On arrival in Arusha lunch is provided followed by transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect to your flight to Zanzibar.
On arrival into Zanzibar you will be transferred by road to your hotel.
