4 Day Tour
As the capital of one of the most affluent rural areas in China, Chengdu has developed into a large and modern city, yet within crooked backstreets you will still find all the charms of old China. Wander amongst the traditional wooden houses and bustling street markets, through the aromas of Sichuan spices cooking.
DAY 1: Arrive Chengdu
Transfer from the airport to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
DAY 2: Panda Conservation Centre
Visit the Panda Conservation Centre to see the pandas being reared in surroundings reminiscent of their natural habitat. Also visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project
DAY 3: Grand Buddha of Leshan
Travel to Leshan to visit the remarkable Grand Buddha, the world’s largest stone carved Buddhist statue. Take a short boat trip to view the statue. Carved into the side of Lingyun Mountain, work on the statue began in 713AD and was completed in 803AD. Return to Chengdu.
DAY 4: Depart Chengdu
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport where your arrangements end.
