Bears are wild animals and they move with free will and to their own schedule. Sometimes one night is enough to see bears with a 90-99 % probability, depending on the month. The average sighting is 92% on a 1 night stay. So over the 3 night stay, the Bear Centre almost guarantee it.
Each season about 20-30 bears visit the hide area. Some evenings several bears may be seen at the same time and the nearest bear may be a few meters from the hide. In addition to bears, the hide area is regularly visited by 1-4 different wolverines, foxes and 1-2 times per week by the local wolf pack.
Cubs are born in the middle of the winter denning period, usually between mid-January and early February, so you may even get to see some 4-5month old cubs if you travel in June/July.
The brown bear is often described as nocturnal. However, it frequently seems to peak in activity in the morning and early evening hours. Furthermore, many independent bears are more likely to be active in the day rather than the night along with many adult bears in low-disturbance areas like the centre. July is also midnight sun season so even the bears who do stick to their nocturnal tendencies can be seen in the summer.
The Luxury Bear Cabin offers a unique experience for nature enthusiasts. Each season offers a distinctive and awe-inspiring atmosphere, with spectacular views and wide windows that allow guests to witness the wonders of wildlife up close. From the snowy spring to the vibrant autumn colours, every night spent in the cabins promises an unforgettable experience.
As you sit in the cabins, listening to the sounds of the wildlife outside, you can witness the giants of the forest just meters from your feet. The sight of these majestic creatures near the cabins is simply indescribable, and the audio experience within is nothing short of magical.
The Luxury Bear Cabin is widely considered to be one of the best places in the world to observe wild bears. With a high probability of sighting a bear, ranging from 90-99% depending on the month, guests can expect to witness numerous bears on some evenings, with some coming within close proximity to the cabin, only a few meters away.
The cabins are strategically located within a short distance of 700 meters from the Bear Centre, providing convenient access to the facility while maintaining a sense of privacy and tranquillity. The cabins are nestled atop a hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
Guests who visit should have an appreciation and love for nature, as it is the essence of the experience. The primary objective is not solely to catch a glimpse of the wild bears or other large animals, but to immerse oneself in the beauty of the natural surroundings. The transformative effect of the environment is palpable, and the feeling upon arrival is distinct from that which one experiences when waking up to the captivating views each morning.
3 Night stay includes breakfast and dinner.
