Day 1: International outbound flight
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Johannesburg.
Day 2: Timbavati Game Reserve
You’ll be met on arrival in Johannesburg by a ground representative. You’ll be assisted during immigration and customs clearance, before checking in for your flight to Hoedspruit. Once you arrive in Hoedspruit, you’ll meet your driver in the airport arrivals hall for your private road transfer to your lodge in the Timbavati Game Reserve. Settle in and meet your guide and tracker for your first game drive of the trip.

Day 3: Timbavati Game Reserve
You’ll be woken up in the early morning before the sun rises. Meet your group while you enjoy a cup of coffee before setting out on your morning game drive. Early morning is the perfect time to spot wildlife. Nocturnal animals have hunted through the night, and you may be able to spot predators before they relax for the day. Your game drive brings you back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. You then have the rest of the day to relax before you head out on your afternoon game drive. Arrive back at the lodge where you can freshen up before dinner.

Day 4: Timbavati Game Reserve
After your wake-up call, you’ll make your way to the main lodge for your morning game drive followed by breakfast. During the day, you could relax at the pool or on your deck. Many lodges also have a spa which offer a variety of spa treatments. Your afternoon game drive takes place in the late afternoon and before sunset. You’ll enjoy a refreshing drink while you watch the sunset. You’ll then be driven back to the lodge as the tracker shines his spotlight through the bush in search of nocturnal species. When you arrive back at the lodge, you might enjoy a hearty meal around the boma (fireplace) where you can chat to other guests about the events of the day.

Day 5: Timbavati Game Reserve
You’ll have another day of indulging on safari. After your morning game drive you might like to get out of the vehicle, stretch your legs after and head into the veld by joining a guided bush walk within the reserve. You’ll discover how to track game and learn about the bush while having the opportunity to get closer to the animals. It’s also a great way to walk off a hearty post game-drive breakfast.

Day 6: Hazyview
You’ll head out on your last morning game drive of the trip. After breakfast, you’ll be collected by your private driver for your scenic transfer to the town of Hazyview. The transfer covers a few stops on the Panorama Route and you can get your camera out for a few snaps of the Blyde River Canyon in the distance.

Day 7: Vilanculos
You’ll be collected by your driver for your private transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Once you arrive, check in for your flight to Vilanculos in Mozambique. You’ll clear immigration and customs when your flight arrives and meet your driver in the arrival’s hall for your transfer to your beach lodge. Once you arrive, settle in and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure before an early dinner.

Day 8: Vilanculos
Wake up bright and early and look out over the Indian Ocean as you enjoy breakfast. Today you could arrange a horse ride along the beach or a kitesurfing course for those who prefer a bit more adventure. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 9: Vilanculos
Dhow safaris are perfect for those who wish to get closer to the abundance of marine life in this part of the Indian Ocean. You can explore the Bazaruto Archipelago or head out on a sunset cruise which departs in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Vilanculos
Today is your last full day on the beach. You could stay at the lodge to relax and have a swim in the pool or choose to book a spa treatment at the lodge. You’ll have the option to make your way to the spa or arrange for the therapist to do the treatment on your private deck.

Day 11: International return flight
Today you’ll be collected after breakfast for your private transfer back to Vilanculos Airport. Check in for your flight to Johannesburg where you join your connecting flight home.
Day 12: International return flight
Arrive home today to complete your journey.
